Joshua Hurst (Josh) is in the Army National Guard, a student at SIUE, and works for 54th St Grill and Bar.
Joshua and his younger brother Lucas were on their way back to their hometown of Mt. Vernon, IL to spend the weekend with family and friends.
A little after 8pm on Friday, April 29th the unthinkable happened. The boys were involved in a single vehicle accident at the Woodlawn exit. Joshua and the family dog Drake were ejected from the truck as it rolled several times on the exit ramp. Joshua was then flown to St. Louis University Hospital where he remains in the ICU with major head trauma.
As family and friends have offered love and support during this difficult time. We are praying for Josh to make a full recovery, but it is going to be a long, slow process.
This account is being set up for both Joshua and his parents to help with travel expenses, hotel accomodations, loss of work, and the upcoming medical bills.
