Iowa's National History Day Group

Donation protected
Hello, we are a National History Day group from Franklin Middle School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  There are two performances involved:  "Isadora Duncan: Exploring the Bondaries of Modern Dance"and "Tricky Dick: Encounters with Controversy."  We are fortunate enough to have advanced to the National competition on June 12th-16th. This means, our group represents Iowa at Nationals. The problem is we don't have the funds necessary for traveling, lodging, and food at The University of Maryland.  One group has worked over three months on our performance on Richard Nixon. We've written a script, created a 150 source bibliography, interviewed professors, and even traveled to U of Iowa twice to research. We are very passionate about our project, and are willing to go to great lengths to improve our project and raise the required funds. It would be disapointing to have this learning experience end after our hard work, so please help support our arts.

Isadora Duncan
My project "Isadora Duncan:  Exploring the Boundaries of Dance" is the story of Isadora Duncan's life and contributions to creating the vibrant art of modern Dance. Told through a combination of words and music, I engage my audience into learning about a lost piece of dance history.

Please consider supporting us in our adventure!
We are so excited to go to Maryland and perform and compete!
Thank you so much for considering!
