As most of you already know, my son , Jack Casey, has been in the hospital for the last 4 weeks fighting an infection in his heart valve . Complications from the infection have also caused him to go into acute renal failure. Im happy to report that the infection is responding to treatment (6 weeks of iv antibiotics) and thanks to aggressive dialysis, his kidneys are starting to recover. Although we are hoping to have him home in 2 weeks, he still has a way to go in his recovery. He has been bedridden for 6 weeks so far and is still very weak. His kidneys are going to take at least 2 months to get back to "base line" and up to a year to fully recover. Since Jack has been caring for me for the last few years, I would like to return the favor and help him in any way that I can . Any donations will be used to replace lost wages, any after care needed and insure that Jack is able to return home and take the time that is needed to rebuild his strength and let his body heal from the trauma that it has been through. We are so grateful for all the love, support and prayers we have gotten through this difficult time. Any continued support to bring Jack some peace of mind will also be immensely appreciated!
