Help Austin Rizzo kick Cancer

This fund was set-up by the Hurst Family on behalf of Austin Rizzo to help cover medical expenses for his cancer treatments.

I have never done anything lik e this before, but I have seen too many situations where medical expenses drain a family's existence, so I decided now is a good time to step up and help.     
                                                                                                             Austin Rizzo is just 20 years old and was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. Rizzo, as we call him has been a friend to my son since middle school. The boy's grew up playing soccer together on travel teams and middle and high school teams. During middle school, Rizzo's Dad was diagnosed with a second form of cancer, which was leukemia, after overcoming Non-Hodgkins lymphoma when Austin was very young.  Rizzo spent a great deal of time at our house, while his mother Jodie helped care for her dying husband.


Rizzo became very close with our family, to the point where we jokingly called him our 6th child.  Unfortunately, Rizzo's Dad passed away, leaving Jodie a strong, single mother fighting to give her family a good life.  After surviving mounting medical bills from her husband's battle with cancer 8 years ago, all was finally calming down until her youngest child was diagnosed with a form of cancer similar to her husband.

In January 2016, Rizzo developed a lump in his lymph node in his neck, which was diagnosed in February as Hodgkins lymphoma.  As a result, Rizzo has to endure 12 weeks of chemotherapy and a month of radiation.  My heart bleeds for this family, as they have to overcome this financial challenge yet again.  The Rizzo Family will be extremely grateful for any and all donations.
Cancer started this fight, but let's help Rizzo finish it!
