My name is Lisa Wells, and I am a member of Hawaii Island's music community. A member of our community, Marya Elise Szaur, has just experienced a musician's worst nightmare: her beloved instrument was stolen. This GoFundMe is a call out to help her replace her irreplaceable viola that she had owned for 22 years.

Marya is a graduate from UH Hilo and has played in our community for many years. Her career spans many genres, from orchestral to contemporary to experimental. In addition to viola she is also an accomplished singer and artist personality.

Marya bought her instrument from her viola teacher when she was 12 years old. While this beloved instrument can never truly be replaced, please consider helping Marya purchase another instrument so she can continue to enrich our community with her musical contributions.
