I created this page for my dad, Arturo Delfavero. Many of our friends and family know him better as Tudy or Art. Over the the past week, he was diagnosed with a late-stage metastasized cancer that most-likely originated in his colon. Sadly, the cancer has spread to several of his other organs, and we are awaiting results of further diagnostic tests to give us a prognosis. Most recently, he underwent an invasive operation on his lower gastrointestinal region on 6/27, and he has a big road ahead of him.
For those who know my dad personally, they know him as a genuine, humorous, talented, good-spirited, and caring individual. He loves music and is gifted in playing his bass guitar, vocals, and piano. For his profession, he works as a jeweler and has true passion and skill for his work.
He is a father to my little brother, Justin and I. Throughout our lives, he has been there for us: Raising two kids in this ever-so-challenging and changing world.
For those who know me personally, they know I was born with a congenital medical condition and have underwent serval surgeries that began at a very young age. My dad was always there for me. He took me across the United States, ensuring I received surgeries from the best-surgeons for my condition. He would wait patiently at the hospital throughout my operations, even through some that were 10+ hours long. He would spend every-single night with me while I was in the hospital, and sleep on a cot/sofa back at the hotels once I was discharged so that I could have the master bed to recover in.
His selflessness as a father has always inspired me. Some know my family on a personal-scale, and know that matters have been far from easy for us; however, life isn’t about ease and perfection. Life is about learning. Though hard-times, there are lessons learned. My dad has always taught me that no matter how bad the storm is, you have to be strong and resilient. Even during my scariest storms, he was there by my side until they passed.
This will be his biggest storm yet. As his daughter, I want to give back everything he has done for me and beyond: I want to give him the best-available resources to fight this allow him to enjoy life to the fullest given we can’t take any day for granted. He’s my one and only dad and he deserves that.
My family and I will whole-heartedly appreciate all thoughts, prayers, or contributions during this hard time. Any financial giving will go directly towards his treatment and expenses.
I will post updates about his journey as we move along.
Thank and you and bless you all. ♥️
