Hello and thank you for looking at my GoFundMe for my eye surgery! In the last year my vision has been getting drastically worse I went to the eye doctor and they found out that my cornea’s are bulging which is caused by Keratoconus it’s making it almost impossible for me to drive and do daily actives because my eyes are so sensitive to everything especially reading which takes a toll because I have to squint so hard to see and even then my vision is blurred. I’m extremely fearful and afraid that I could go blind Keratoconus is when the cornea thins out and bulges like a cone. Changing the shape of the cornea bringing light rays out of focus. As a result, your vision is blurry and distorted, making daily tasks like reading or driving difficult and it can lead to blindness and can cause your eyes to swell it happens to every 1 out of 2000 people I have worn glasses most of my life but unfortunately not even glasses can correct my vision so I need a special surgery called Corneal Cross Linking corneal cross-linking is when doctors use eyedrop medication and ultraviolet light from a special machine to make the tissues in your cornea stronger. The goal is to keep the cornea from bulging more and to stop keratoconus and to save my own cornea’s so i don’t need a complete cornea transplant All donations will be going towards my surgery which is 3k per eye the surgery will be done at the Bochner Eye Institute in Toronto Canada they are one of the best eye institutes in the North American region A share is much appreciated thank you have a great day!
