I’m a 22 yr old trans/queer Latinx person that needs immediate help leaving my current living situation.

My childhood and more recent adolescence has been colored with housing instability, physical, sexual, and substance abuse and currently, verbal abuse. My father is homophobic, him and the rest of my family openly reject my identity; I am constantly misgendered and ridiculed. It feels pointless to try to heal my wounds when the ongoing transphobia, homophobia, and gaslighting reopens them. I can no longer endure the harsh judgment I face from existing in the same space with someone who claims to love me. I just want to have a space where I feel safe and at peace.

Like many of us, Ive been laid off my job due to COVID and have not been paid my unemployment money. I am actively seeking work and looking for places with my sister, but I really need the funds to be able to secure a place first. First and last months rent plus security deposit is needed. I’m moving out of state and would like to raise extra for moving expenses and basic household supplies/necessities (furniture, dish ware/bedding, emergencies, etc.) Last summer I was robbed of almost all my clothes when my car was broken into while in transitional housing; some of the money will go towards finally replenishing my wardrobe too.
