Trystin’s Road To Recovery

my baby brother Trystin, 17 years old was involved in a accident June 17, 2020 around 9pm that night. He was riding his street bike on the way home from grabbing a bite to eat, he gets on 635 to get home.. kind of by centerville exit and a car did not give him time to change lanes and cut him off going about 75-85mph causing him to fly off his bike rolling about 400ft causing serious road rash, losing his right elbow, breaking his right arm, broken fingers and a hole in his knee. His adrenaline was through the roof that he even got up trying to get his street bike out of the middle of the highway. Ambulance took him to Baylor of Dallas where he was admitted into trauma one and had surgery the following morning and was there for almost a week. By the grace of God, fantastic doctors and the love, kind words, support and prayers from friends and family he was ok to leave the hospital earlier than expected. His helmet honestly saved his life.. this could’ve been a completely different story if it wasn’t for him having his helmet on and I am so grateful for that. As everyone knows, recovery with physical therapy will take time and patience.. but with the love he is surrounded by he won’t be alone throughout any of these battles. We created this in hope we can raise enough to cover his medical expenses and maybe potentially a new bike in the future when he’s physically and mentally ready to get back on one. He’s been riding all types of bikes since he was 14/15 years old. Self taught, this is his passion. Making so many friends.. friends that are considered family to him, traveling to different states for rides, riding from sun rise to sunset day in and day out.. he is a fighter, I know he won’t let this accident ruin his love and passion for riding.
