Funeral Expenses For Yahir Dueñas-Gomez

I am Yahir’s uncle. Yahir was involved in a hit and run accident. He was the passenger in the vehicle. The driver that hit their car fled on foot and it is believed that the truck he was driving is stolen. We are unsure what amount the insurance is going to pay, if any at all. Medical bills are quickly stacking up and we want to ensure his future is not put on hold due to someone else’s mistake. He is in a coma due to a traumatic brain injury. He was brought to the hospital with multiple injuries. His right lung was collapsed and he was bleeding internally. His spleen was destroyed and had to be surgically removed. There is a hemorrhage in his brain. His liver was damaged and had to be sutured shut. He sustained injuries to his kidneys. His pelvis is broken. He has 4 broken ribs. He sustained a concussive blow to his heart. He is fighting for his life. We truly don’t know how he was able to survive, but it isn’t his time. He is a fighter. If and when he comes out of the coma, due to his traumatic brain injury Yahir will require extensive physical therapy in order to help him regain as much of a similar life he had prior to his accident. We are asking for any and all donations to ensure he has the best help possible. My nephew did not deserve this. He barely turned 17 and had his whole life ahead of him.
