As many of you may know, our beloved Grandmother and Mother, Kathy Adams, suffered a severe, life-threatening hemorrhagic stroke. This comes as a surprise to the family, as Kathy was otherwise very healthy, with no serious underlying health conditions. Her unfortunate health decline comes during a very challenging time. Both of her daughters are currently unemployed due to COVID, and find themselves not only trying to navigate this new normal and recovering from that loss, but now have the responsibility of managing their mother’s finances and medical bills. Kathy’s insurance had lapsed and is currently only covered for the next 30 days, and as we all know, medical expenses can be astronomical and unmanageable for most of us, but more so during this extremely challenging time. At this time, the doctors are suggesting that Kathy may come out of this with severe or permanent damage that will require an undefined amount of therapy to help her gain her strength and functionality back. She was currently living on her own, but with the expected treatment, she will need to be relocated and given daily care. Of course, our hope is for a full recovery and that Kathy will go back to her full and independent life, but at this time her prognosis is unknown. We are kindly asking for donations to assist the family during this difficult time with Kathy’s personal and medical bills. This will also assist with relocating her once she is able to be released from ICU.
