Alfie’s Wish (registered charity 1191020)

Donation protected
Alfie’s Wish (registered charity 1191020) has been set up as a legacy for our son, Alfie Butler who sadly lost his 5 year battle to a Brain Tumour on 2nd January 2020. The Charity will provide days out to Support Children with Cancer in the UK.

Working closely with CLIC Sargant, through referrals’ we will send children with cancer (0 – 16 years) and their families on days out, with an aim to cover costs such as tickets, travel, food & accommodation. We know just how important it is to make memories when your child is fighting cancer so we want to help others, we also know the financial impact that cancer has on a family so funding days out often become impossible.
Whether it’s a theme park, zoo, museum, sporting or music event to name but a few our aim is to get children there.

Thank you for your generous donation to Alfie’s Wish.

June 2020 - The start of our vision

Our son Alfie Butler was diagnosed with brain cancer on 1/2/2015 at 8 months old. Despite a very brave five year battle undergoing surgeries and treatment, sadly he passed away on 2/1/2020, he was 5 years old. We always knew the odds were stacked against him so as a family we tried to make as many memories as possible whilst we could. Although he is no longer with us here and is pain free at last, his memories will last us a lifetime and keep us smiling. Having lived in the world of children’s cancer, we know just how tough it is. Watching your child go through months and years treatment and seeing the long term affects of it all. We understand how important it is to live for each day and make memories so we want to continue with Alfies legacy. Our vision is to set up a “non profit” registered charity in memory of Alfie so we can send families to Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park. Peppa Pig World was Alfies favourite place in the whole wide world and we feel lucky to have made so many special memories there as a family. We know how important it is to make memories when your child is fighting cancer so we want to help others as Alfies legacy. Our aim is to get referrals for the families through children’s cancer charities and we would plan to cover all costs such as day tickets into the park, travel, food & accommodation (if applicable). Unfortunately setting up a registered charity is not that straight forward. Before you can apply to the charity commission we would need to raise £5,000 to get the ball rolling. We are extremely passionate about this & we hope with your help we can get this off the ground sooner rather than later. We understand times are financially difficult at the moment but if you are able to make a donation (no matter how small) we would really appreciate it Thank you for supporting Alfie and helping to make a difference to other children fighting cancer
