William turned 3 and 10 days after his Birthday he was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour. So we were blue lightened to Noah’s Ark at the Heath Hospital. He had a MRI to see how bad it was then a biopsy and reservoir to discover what cancer it actually was. We waited and got the news he had Medulloblastoma that had spread down his spine. So they had put a Reservoir in his head so if the fluid got too much they could just drain it because when it spread down the spine it was blocking where the fluid should go so it was building up in his head. He had a NG tube put in as he could not eat. He then started 5and a half intense chemotherapy courses he had brain surgery again he also had to have a blood stem cell harvest to remove or the stem cells from his blood. While going threw treatment he Lost all his hair had chickenpox shingles lost the ability to walk twice lost the ability of his left side got that back and then after brain surgery lost the right side which thank God he got back he also suffered with sepsis E. coli and a fungal infection he was isolated more than most as all the intense treatment made him neutropenic. He had so many blood Transfusions and Platelets yet threw it all no matter what was thrown at him no matter how hard it was for us to watch he always had a smile on his face. We finally had his high-dose chemotherapy in November. He needed TPN feed then as the chemo burnt him inside his throat all the way threw his body to his bum then where he was given his Stem cells back through transplant and he recovered finally we left hospital and came home December 13th 9 months after we arrived. We carried on enjoy got each and every day with our beautiful boy who was becoming stronger and doing great and his hair eye lashes eye brows started to grow back. Which was amazing to see. So we had his first scan Feb 27th which came back stable we were so excited thinking the chemo and brain surgery are working. So we loved the next three months the hoping and praying that the next scan stayed the same or was better so we had his 2nd scan. Then we were called in to the Hospital June 3rd 2020 and told the cancer had spread all over his brain and a tiny bit on his spine. We were told if we doing nothing we would lose him in 8 weeks or we could give him more chemo to try to shrink the cancer so he would have a bit longer. If that shrinks the Tumours then maybe after the next scan they would see if radiation which prolong his life by six months to a year but they would not give it to him if they thought it would not help so now we are waiting to see if this chemo which starts tomorrow Monday 8th June 2020 if it will work and how long we have our beautiful boy for it is so unfair because he has a full head of hair eyebrows eyelashes smiles all the time and looks so well take away the fact he’s got a feeding tube in. And central lines you wouldn’t know he was ill. We are not ready to let our boy go he’s our world he’s the love of our life he’s only 4 and been threw so much he should have his whole life ahead of him yet it’s being taken from him. Life is so so cruel! For how ever long we have him we want to make him as happy as he can be and make as many memories as we can. We were meant to go to Give kids the world village in Florida America we should of gone June 13th till June 28th this year. The trip was organised by Kids Cancer Charity in Swansea the flights were with virgin. That trip was cancelled by covid 19. With insurance and flights that came to roughly £5,000 as the insurance is mega bucks due to certain meds William is on and then it was incurable cancer. Know insurance might triple as his condition is now terminal and with flights just starting up again they might charge more. If the doctors say it’s ok for us to take William on a trip of a life time somehow we will do it as originally planned for the 9 months horrific treatment he went threw that was his treat but covid stopped that as we should be there now. Williams Wish list 1, To be the special child on Mr Tumble show and meet him. 2, See Mickey Mouse and the Gang in Florida. 3, A family holiday if Florida not possible. 4,Anything to do with Liverpool FC, would love to meet klopp and the team. 5, Visit to Digger Land 6, Visit or just feed some animals would love to take him to either Longleat, Bristol Zoo, West Midlands Safari. 7, Visit An Aquarium. 8, William has a massive love for Dinosaurs and is currently having his room decorated in that theme so any props or Dinosaur Toys as his mother won’t let him get a real one . Thank you in advance for anyone who helps William with his wish list. Any funds raised hopefully will cover all the things on Williams Wish List as well as insurance if they can get out to Florida.
