COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund for Acorn Alums
Donation protected
Fellow Live Oak Alumni,
I’ve recently been made aware that some of our fellow Acorns who graduated in the late 80s are in distress and in desperate need of financial assistance during this unprecedented pandemic. They are more than a little embarrassed by their situations, and they are really struggling. I can’t just abandon them. Not now. Not ever.
I understand everyone’s financial situations are different and this is probably the worst time in history to ask for help. But I felt compelled to try. I can only speak for those of us that graduated in the late 80s, and remember that we were more than high school friends; we became a family. I am well aware that funds are tight these days, but any amount you can spare would go directly to the Acorns and their families in need of assistance.
They have pleaded with me to remain anonymous to preserve what dignity they have left. If you can help in any way, it would be a testament to the bond to Live Oak that remains forever in the heart of an Acorn.
With much gratitude,
