Brandi's Story; After sustaining a head on collision from a vehicle travelling south in the northbound lane of I-35 in Moore where the driver appears to have been speeding and possibly intoxicated. Brandi was pinned for 37 minutes, the vehicle motor compartment on fire (what was left of it) she was transported to OU Med. In critical condition. She has suffered multiple major internal injuries, most of her major bones are broken. She is on a intubation machine, chest tubes in each side. Blood in her lungs, laceration to Liver and artery. Shattered Tibia and Fibula in her Left leg below knee and ankle (open). Broken ribs, clavicle, scapula, back, arm(s). An area of blood in her brain Her Spleen has been removed. Her intestine repaired. Diaphram damaged. Some irregularities in her Cervical Vertabra, broken back, sternum and ribs.I believe it is a miracle she lived through this terrible crash. The driver that struck her has passed away, I offer Prayers to his family. After striking her he struck another vehicle injuring the occupants as well sending them to Norman ER. Please include these victims in your Prayers as well. Brandi is a fighter but Prayers are asked to help her through this battle. She has underwent surgeries today and more scheduled tomorrow and Saturday if her condition allows. According to her Doctors several more surgeries are to follow and a very long difficult recovery. Thanks to all the blood donors as she has needed alot of blood products thus far and will be needing more. I tried to get in to see her today but they won't let me in the hospital due to the COVID 19. I asked her Nurse to let her know we love her and everything will be okay, he said she knodded her head but is heavily sedated and unable to speak due to the intubation tube. I will try to keep everyone posted on her status as I can. Please take a moment to Pray for her. Thanks to all who have called and offered to help. God bless you all and the fine Doctors who have been calling and updating me as well as her Nurse. The funds will be used to help with what medical bills and rehabilitation as well as needs not covered by insurance. Her hospital stay will be lenghtly and rehabilitation even longer. Your help would be appreciated.
