Green Lodge of Manchester is extremely sad to announce that we recently lost one of our most adored employees. Doris Roman, born May 29th, 1951, passed away Sunday, June 14th, 2020. She was more then just an employee. For over 20 years she worked with us and became a dear friend and family member. She was loved by all who met her. She was a loving wife to her husband Jose for 47 years and she has left behind a huge loving family including, 4 children, 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren! She was born in Maunabo, Puerto Rico and later moved to Connecticut where she spent decades caring for the mentally ill residents that reside at Green Lodge of Manchester. She was beautiful, kind, a hard worker and witty. She had a light about her and she could make anybody smile and laugh. Unfortunately, she struggled with Chronic Asthma for a long time, and this is what ultimately took her from us. Green Lodge... and life itself will never be the same without her.
Because of this sudden tragedy, Green Lodge is asking that if you would like to help us help the Roman family with anything, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
The Staff and Residents of
Green Lodge of Manchester.
