My name is Kayla Gbeintor. I am 18 years old. I had every intention of attending Clark Atlanta University as a Theatre Major in the fall, but life has its obstacles. Almost my entire family is extremely homophobic which you can only imagine makes being queer & NB a nightmare. My mother is useless & my father hasn’t helped me with anything these past 18 years. The only one who was willing to help was my grandmother but after being outed by my mother, my grandmother has practically disowned me. 


My mental health has deteriorated due to the constant verbal and emotional abuse from my mother. I have no help getting to school which is in Atlanta and no money to purchase any items that I will need for school. I also have no family members who could possibly help since the majority of them are overseas. I want to leave these toxic households & also go to school and get an education; I have every intention of doing so but I just need some help along the way. Anything helps. Thank you in advance.
