UPDATE FROM SHELLEY:
Our sweet and beloved Jenna has left this world and our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of such a special and extraordinary soul. There is no doubt that she is rejoicing in Heaven, free of the pain and suffering she has endured for the last few years as she battled and fought to be with us as long as possible. We are comforted to know that she is experiencing love and joy beyond what any of us can imagine and for that I am truly grateful. August 13th will forever be etched upon our hearts.
The alternative therapies offered in Mexico were amazing and could have healed her, however the cancer was too far progressed and none of us anticipated that her decline would happen so quickly. We were fortunate to get her back to San Diego before she passed. Covid restrictions were extreme and at first they wouldn't let me or any of the family in to be with her while she was in the ICU, but they did allow Zoom calls with many family and friends that were able to share their thoughts, heartfelt feelings and even some laughter. With the advocating of many, I was finally approved as a designated care giver and was able to be by her side. Later when it was determined that the Angel Flight team could not get her back home, Scripps Mercy allowed her sisters and Mike in her room and we were blessed to be present as the Angels gently gathered her spirit to take her home. Chris and Carl spoke over the phone, so she also could hear their words of love. The Palliative care team did an amazing job of giving her just the right amount of medication for her to be awake and alert without experiencing any pain. Jenna was able to look deep into each of our eyes with extreme love as we said our goodbyes and gave her the reassurance that she needed to know it was okay to let go. As always, Jenna was more concerned with our well being than her own. It was a beautiful transition... she was at peace, pain free and had the most angelic look on her face that I have ever seen.
Jenna touched so many lives in her short time on earth. I am in awe of the impact she had on this world and even though (like any mother would) I question why God took her home before she could live out all her dreams, I am truly grateful for the gift He gave us all in having Jenna in our lives. I believe God used her presence to bring about more love, inspiration, community, prayer and joy for all those who knew her, and many that just heard her story.
Once again, I thank you for sharing in this journey of faith, hope, joy, sadness and grief. Thank you to her prayer warriors, her nurses and doctors who so lovingly let her into their hearts and the many that donated financially to allow us to get her the help she needed to fight this disease for as long as she did. I thank God for the miracle of healing she experienced on earth that allowed her to be with us for another year and for her ultimate healing in Heaven. I thank her friends for being so loyal and dedicated to help her through this journey, the parents of her friends, the family members and friends of friends that her story touched. Her love remains in our hearts and I know that I am not alone in saying that she will live on in each one of us.
We will miss her smile, laughter, silliness, stubbornness, thoughtfulness, encouragement, positive attitude, dedication and dreams. There is an emptiness in my heart that will forever seek her presence. I am happy she is with Jesus and her dad who she loved dearly. She is our Angel and will watch over us as we struggle to go through life without her. She will send us little reminders that she is still present and we will all be together again when our time comes.
We love you Jenna and with tears of sadness and joy, we send you off with Sunflowers in the river... memories of the wonderful times we shared... pictures of your beautiful soul and the transcendence of your angelic spirit. You will always be with us, a love never ending, a void that will never be filled... until we are with you again... goodbye my sweet child, your mama loves you forever and ever ❤️
With love and sincere gratitude,
The Ferris/Bellmore family

I am sure like all of you were heartbroken for this family again about hearing Jenna's cancer returning. Shelley is one of the most wonderful women I have had the pleasure of getting to know her and her family through out the years. Jenna is loved by so many who are lifting her up in prayer and asking what else they can do to help. Let's help support her and her family with some of the expenses that they are already enduring. Any donations will be used to help healing Jenna's body, keeping her immune system strong and her spirit bright.
Thank you for you continued prayers and support - Let's help this girl fight cancer again!!
From Shelley:
Dearest family, friends and prayer warriors for Jenna, We reach out today with with heavy hearts as we announce that Jenna's battle with cancer has begun again.
Many of you have followed her story for the past year after she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ewings Sarcoma in April of 2019. The main tumor site was in her pelvis and it had metastasized to her spine and shoulder. She spent the next four months in and out of hospitals in Seattle, Portland and Eugene, as her body tried to tolerate the chemo that was recommended. The dose was reduced as it was destroying her immune system and the Drs. decided that she couldn't be cured. In the meantime, we began many other natural methods of healing and in September her Pet Scan showed no evidence of disease. The Drs. were amazed and all have rejoiced in her healing! We followed the chemo with 31 rounds of Proton Therapy Radiation up in Seattle, and 10 rounds of radiation to the shoulder and spine back in Eugene. She finished with treatment by Thanksgiving and Jenna was excited to get back to normal life. She moved back to Corvallis in January and changed her major to Pre-Med. All was going well, but when the quarantine began she moved back home as her immune system had still not recovered completely. Jenna's scans remained clear up until a few weeks ago. After pain presented in her back and progressively got worse, 2 MRI's & a Pet Scan were ordered. Results have confirmed the cancer has come back and spread into multiple bones in her body- both sides of her pelvis, 2 spots in the spine and 1 in the femur.
The good news is that it is not in the lungs or the organs. We are grateful for the ongoing research and the many people who are contributing with studies, personal experiences and recommendations of the best options available to help her. The fight to beat this cancer will continue and focus more on natural methods, with the possibility of clinical trials. We acknowledge that much of her healing was a result of the love, support and prayers she received from around the globe. We believe this was a huge part of what cured her before and we will not give up hope that it will happen again! Our God is a God of miracles and our faith that He can cure her has not wavered. I ask you now to join in our prayers that her heart will be filled with love and joy, that her pain will be managed and her immune system will remain strong... that she will continue to imagine all the things she wants to do in her future and that ultimately she will be cured forever from this disease and able to live the life she has always dreamed of!! This is for our extraordinary Jenna, the girl who we hold so dear and near to our hearts and love beyond limits.
Help us all to have the courage she has shown and stick by her side with love, support and prayers as she fights! Anything is possible with God and with love! Thank you all!
