Denise's Journey with Glioblastoma
Author: Denise's Daughter, Danielle
Anyone that knows our family, knows we've been down a difficult health journey that we are still feeling with my father, Sven, passing in 2015 from Myasthenia Gravis. Now, after a recent fall on Mother's Day, my mother, Denise, has been diagnosed with an inoperable stage 4 Glioblastoma. As she nears the age to "hop" onto medicare towards the end of the year, we are hoping to find help for the immediate care costs.
We know COVID has put a wrench in all our lives, even down to making it difficult for loved ones to reach out and help in this situation (including myself, being stuck out of the country). As Denise makes her way through her daily radiation and chemo, know donations will help us with medical costs and much needed access to meal services.
While heavy and hard to digest, our family is not lost on the fortune we have in knowing about her condition now, so we can more steadily and strategically put one foot in front of the other for the journey the doctors have prepared us. Thank you for showing your love for Denise and our family!

P.S. on our $1 goal: In a time when things are hard for EVERYONE, it is onerous asking for help. So while our costs going through this will be substantial, we don't want to add stress to anyone. Please know, any contribution is valuable and recognized with love. I am immensely grateful, Danielle
