Troys road to liver transplant recovery!
Donation protected
Troy was born with this disease but not aware until the last 20 years that there was anything wrong. It started with bad cholesterol, that caused him to have 2 heart attacks with both times having stint surgery. Then he also found out he has ulcerative colitis, ERCP which is associated to his liver disease too. He is being seen at Nebraska Medical Center for care and recently had a liver transplant. Troy has had a med student with him that has made Troy his patient to follow through his education and he helped to get Troy this transplant earlier then he would have. Without his diligence to get Troy would still be on the list. Troy is not a man to ask for help but help is what his family needs. He is a proud man and has always worked hard to take care of his family. He will be needing to be off work for 6-12 months currently. His wife Cindy will now need to be his caregiver and also will not be able to work. Due to her work is in home and she can’t risk infections for him or it could shorten his life. They highly appreciate all the help and support by ways of sharing, caring, donations or prayers. They would like to say Thank you in advance for just being there.
