My journey started with a persistent cough at the end of January. As usual it was diagnosed as a sinus infection. Well the sinus infection went away but the cough did not. Many more visits to the acute care center, many more misdiagnosis later I was finally sent to a pulmonary specialist in May. I was told I would be sent for an X-ray that would most likely come back normal but just as a precaution measure. Sure enough my right lung was showing some sort of fullness. So off to the CT I go where they found a 10x6 cm mass between my lungs and encasing my aorta (7 more were found later). It was diagnosed as Malignant Lymphoma, large type, B-Cell after a biopsy. I will undergo 6 rounds of chemo and remain under quarantine to avoid COVID-19 for the next 4 months.
As a single mother the financial burden can be hard at the best of times. Now I will need to struggle to work a full week and continue with chemo. The bills will start to accumulate and add another stressor to the many I already have. If you are able to help out I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you all for your support and kind words.
