Salt & Fire is a Black-owned business located in Oakland, CA that has been deeply impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We recently lost most of our scheduled 2020 catering events after such a promising start to the year. The pandemic has prevented us from doing what we love; prevented us from bringing people around together to enjoy food and fellowship. Here at Salt & Fire we truly believe food is the ingredient that binds us all together. Salt & Fire provides catering, personal chef services and plate pick-ups throughout the bay-area. We strive to provide organic, locally grown and sourced fresh ingredients in an effort to support sustainability and reduce our carbon footprint. Additionally, Salt & Fire provides free meals to healthcare providers and the less fortunate. We provide employment opportunities to amazingly talented local cooks and chefs who are now left trying to navigate during this unprecedented time. Every penny is appreciated and will also contribute to making the road a little less rough for them. Salt and Fire was launched in 2017 by Owner/Chef Brandon King. Chef King is a single full-time father to an honor roll student with type 1 diabetes. We would like to raise money to support him through these times so we can all enjoy and continue to watch Salt & Fire grow. The largest donor will receive a complimentary, private dinner for four from our renowned chef. Lastly and most importantly, we practice social distancing while still providing a stellar catered experience. We are currently available for catered events, pick-up plates (based in Oakland), culinary art delivery and starter kits with cooking classes via Zoom. Book now at www.saltandfireoakland.com and visit us @salt_and_fire on Instagram to learn more about Chef King and Salt & Fire Catering.
