I am the "auntie" to Oscar, a gorgeous lug of an Alaskan Malamute, who is loved by, and the baby to my very good friend, Deb Romain Demlow. About a week ago, Oscar stopped putting weight on his back leg, and was in horrible pain. His mom brought him to the vet straight away, and he was diagnosed with a completely torn cruciate ligament, and a totally blown out knee. He then got an appointment with a specialized vet for a consult for this past Monday, and has been on pain meds since, to try and help keep him somewhat comfortable. His diagnosis was confirmed, as well as there being absolutely no ligaments or tendons holding his knee together..... He has TPLO surgery scheduled for next Thursday, June 18th. Which is the soonest they could get the poor guy in.... I'm starting this on their behalf, in the hopes that together, we can help them in their time of need, to alleviate the financial burden this will put on them. And also so that Deb can focus her energy on taking care of Oscar, on his long road to recovery. Below in updates is the outline of costs from the Animal Hospital performing the procedure. Donations can also be made directly to the Vets office. You'll just need to give them Deb's name, and that it's for Oscar. If that option works better for you. Thank you.❤❤
