Cancer - Mindy's Fight

Melinda (Mindy) Rehmert is my mom. The picture you see of her, seems so long ago. She was celebrating her 1 year Anniversary surviving her Stage 4 Colon Cancer. Instead of getting better, she has only gotten worse these past couple of years. She has been through numerous surgeries, doctor's appointments, and so much chemo. Now we are preparing her for a MAJOR surgery in Kansas City, at KU Med. This surgery will take 10-12 hours, and it is her only hope! They will remove as much cancer as possible, and leave her with a 2-3 month recovery time. This is one of the scariest moments of our lives. All prayers welcome!! She will then travel everyday to Garden City for radiation treatment for the cancer on her lungs. Absolutely anything will help at this time, and in the future for my mom! I appreciate each and everyone of you, and lets just pray she will be 100% after this surgery!
