Cassie's Lifesaving Surgery Fund
Cassie is part of our family. She's just turned 10, and is a Labrador. Only yesterday (7 June 2020) we noticed some discharge. Throughout the day, she slowly started getting worse, lethargic and not eating. By 8pm she was in pain so we called the vets and rushed her to the vet hospital. She was diagnosed with pyometra, which is a life threatening condition requiring urgent treatment. She's currently in surgery after I managed to pay a £200 deposit, however the total bill is likely to top £1400. Unfortunately her insurance lapsed a couple of years ago due to financial issues. My wife was made redundant 8 months ago, and has now been furloughed from a low paying job so we are really struggling to meet this bill, although the vets have given us a short time to pay, but will not be able to cover any follow up appointments or treatment until paid. She means the world to me and my family, not least to my 13 year old daughter, who suffers from depression and anxiety and says she literally owes her life to Cassie. Please, if you can, help with anything, to bring our girl back to us healthy and happy.
