Cancer Treatment Assistance For Joshua Strother
Donation protected
32 years old and diagnosed with colon cancer May 5th 2020 when a hospital visitation for fatigue and shortness of breathe quickly escalated and revealed what my wildest nightmares could never have fathomed. the past 3 weeks have been filled with endless doctors visitations, medical procedures and scans, endless and unanswered questions, sleepless nights, uncertainty, travel, and and and...something new everyday.
What's Known:
He inherited a rare genetic condition known as Familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) which causes a predisposition to develop large number of polyps in the large intestine. Unfortunately not just having hundreds of polyps, some have become fully cancerous. One encompassing over 80% of his colon's circumference and disturbingly wide. Without a doubt the removal of no less than 97% of the entire colon is an absolute necessity. Before that can happen the doctors think many weeks of both chemo therapy and radiation are required before even attempting the removal of it along with even more treatment following the surgery.
Support and How it Will help:
It is no secret treatments build up a hefty expense between doctor visitations, consultations, the medications, testings surgeries. All those expenses are already becoming overwhelmingly gargantuan. And on daily, monthly, travel, and the u foreseen that happens daily.....
All donations are will aid in the treatments themselves or the support of recovery and are so greatly appreciated and needed. Thank you!
