Andrews Battle With FAS

Thanks to everyone who has donated, we have stopped the go fund me as we have had tones of donations and have had the funeral helped payed for! Thanks to everyone who has helped and hopefully see you guys at the walk! Today has been a rough day for our family as my uncle has sadly lost his battle with addictions and his disability. My grandparents have been having a rough few years with my grandfathers battling colon and now lung cancer while caring for my uncle who was born with Fetal Alcohol Sydrome , (my grandparents adopted him at 2 weeks old) Knowing they are already faced with so much sadness, financial burdens and now with the funeral costs for Andrew has caused them so much anxiety for the expenses they can’t really afford. It’s the least my siblings and I could do for them. Nobody should ever feel burdened by allowing their child to rest. Andrew was such a good person who loved to make people laugh, make them feel special and spoiled his daughter and dog so much. Anyone who knew the healthy Andrew, loved him. He lived with us for many periods of time and always respectful to my moms rules until addictions got the best of him. My mom and I are hoping to team up with the Fetal Alcohol Society in hopes to creating something special in Andrews name for his Daughter to feel proud about and keep his memory with us all while doing some good for FAS for people like Andrew. He wanted to be well, but truly no matter what was done, they couldn’t find the right place for him. So many people took the time to help him so many times, but just wasn’t enough. He is at peace now, but does not take the pain away from my grandparents who have been there for him all of his painful life living with this disability and always wanting to be accepted. Any help to help me make my grandparents wish a reality would be greatly appreciated and hope you all support our future goal to have something special in Andrews name. Thank you all in advance and hope you all reach out to those who don’t know how to accept the right help. People with FAS or suffering with addictions are not crazy, they have a disability and a disease. They are human like you and I. Addictions are horrible and we need more help in this crazy world.
