44 Surgeries And Counting...

So this is awkward. As most of you know, my name is Jenn. I live in floral park. I recently had my health decline in one of the scariest ways possible. In March my tonsil ruptured, and I went in for a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. Seems pretty routine. Except then my body decided it would be fun to hemorrhage three times, ultimately leading to the discovery of two aneurisms, one behind my tongue and one at the base of my brain. Those aneurisms were embolized, and thankfully, by the grace of God, I was already in the hospital at the time. The Neurointerventionalist told me I was very close to death. I then proceeded to spend over two weeks in the ICU as Covid-19 took over. I am already immuno-compromised, as I have rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia, and take biologic medication. My doctors refuse to allow me to return to work, as it is a sure fire way to end up back in the hospital or worse. My immune system just isn’t strong enough. I have exhausted my short term disability, cannot collect unemployment, and the bills are piling up. The aneurism surgery alone was just under $200,000. I estimate the total out of pocket I will be responsible for will top half a million dollars. I am terrified. I need some help. For groceries, gas, prescriptions, co-pays so I can go to my doctors appointments. I also have to retain an attorney to try and get my insurance to cover some of the bills they are denying, and that is going to cost me $3,000. If you can’t, you can’t. But if you can, know I am genuinely so appreciative. I wouldn’t ask if I didn’t absolutely need. And I promise, when I can, to pay it forward... Thank you in advance... much love, Jenn ... To add insult to injury, I was in a car accident yesterday with a truck and totaled my car. I just can’t win. I have increased the goal to reflect that. To make matters even worse, when going to buy a new car, I was robbed of $1500... I’m distraught and have no clue how I am going to recover...

funds will be used to buy medical supplies, wound care, prescriptions, service dog training, transportation to my specialists in manhattan, and basic life support and stability until I am finished with this journey and can get back to work.
