Sari’s Homecoming

As many of you know my daughter suffered a terrible accident at home on March 16, 2020, where a dresser and TV fell on her. She suffered a traumatic brain injury, skull fractures, and a injury to the neck and spine. She was in the ICU trauma floor at Children’s hospital for 51 days before being transferred to Our Children’s House rehab center in Dallas. She has not fully recovered the ability to breathe on her own due to her brain injury so she had a Tracheostomy and a G-Tube done on April 15, 2020. She was transferred to the rehab center May 6, 2020, where she still remains doing Speech, Occupational, Physical therapy, and Neuro Psychology. Initially when we created a GoFundMe, the doctors only predicted she would need a wheelchair and therapy equipment. Now with all the issues she has developed over time, she is needing not only that but a Trilogy Vent, IPV machine, Oxygen, a CoughAssist machine, wheelchair, medical bed, walker, ramp, and of course supplies. We initially intended to get her a nurse part time voluntarily since we do need to sleep at some point and go to work but now it’s become a mandatory requirement to have a nurse 24/7 for her to come home. As the expenses keep piling up, we have hit a dead end on funds to cover the remaining equipment, even after emptying out our savings. Anything will help, even prayers! A blood transfusion, 3 procedures, and 3 surgery’s later we are ready to have our baby home. Her discharge date was initially suppose to be June 4, 2020 but with us not being financially prepared they pushed it to June 24, 2020. Which will also give her time to ween off the narcotics since she is very sensitive to withdrawals. Please help us get our baby home. Thanks in advance for all the love and support! ❤️
