iCustom’s Recovery

Since our arrival to America in 2008, my family has strived to succeed and make the best out of the opportunities they were fortunate enough to receive. Becoming citizens, making their first home purchase, and the most significant being the opening of their business iCustom, were all ways in which they sought to establish roots here. However at 3:15 AM on the 31st of May, we received a phone call from the security company that monitors the business alerting us to motion within. We quickly arrived there, hoping for the best yet expecting the worst. The latter was what we came across when we saw shattered glass all across the parking slots. Our business relies on the repair and sale of phones, tablets and computers. The four people who “looted” our business stole much of our supplies and devices while also leaving the building trashed. Wallpaper torn, parts thrown among the floor and carpets embedded with shards. We are extremely saddened at the current state of our nation and how it has left many other small businesses. Anything donated will be put forth to help cover any expenses towards customer device replacements, replacing our part inventory, or directly towards the business repairs that our insurance may not cover. That includes the wooden floor that has been damaged heavily due to large rocks they used to break our glass door. Please spread the message about the importance of community. Everyone wants to feel safe and loved and that’s we strived for with our business.
