Hawleywoods Long Beach Recovery Funds
Hawleywoods Barbershop Long Beach is in the heart of loyal patrons who have supported the shop and 4th St. Retro Row where it is located. To many people it's a second home where they come to relax, have some laughs, share their stories, express concerns about the world, or simply enjoy a quality haircut. The shop and it's barbers do the most to accommodate and give their best to the community they serve. Unfortunately like everyone else, it has also been affected by COVID-19 bringing it to a complete halt since March 16th. We have tried to acquire grants and loans from the state and city but did not get approved for any which we believe is the story for many barbershops and salons. There is good news though. There is a chance that we may be able to open back up as soon as next weekend according to the city. With restrictions in place and lower capacity. Something is better than nothing for now. So we are asking for donations to be able to pay rent and bills that have accumulated as well as start up costs including everything needed to comply with whatever we will need to keep the patrons and the community safe. We are aware that some our customers are having a hard time financially too so if you can't donate we understand but anything helps. We just want to be able to keep providing our space and professional services that we love to our community, friends, family, and most of all the patrons who have supported us for many years..we appreciate EVERYONE. Your friend, Leo Vazquez-Lopez (shop owner)
