Abbey Apartments Fire Relief
Donation protected
5/25/2020- A day I will never forget. While out shopping with my friend I received a phone call from his mother stating that there has been a fire in the Abbey Apartments, while being in an instant panic that it could’ve been my families apartment I had tried calling everyone in my family from my two sisters to my mother and father (my father always picks up his phone) when I knew that he was not picking up, I knew something was wrong. In a rush dropped everything and headed back to see the devastating impact the fire had caused to our building 25293. Luckily, all 4 of them had escaped but I didn’t get to see my two cats, Walter and bubba. With a scream I saw Walter at the window and the fireman quickly grabbed. Bless that fireman’s and all the Loudoun County’s fire and sheriff departments soul. Unfortunately, my princess Bubba who was my first cat and was with me through the toughest of tough times, the one I looked to when things were tough and the one I smiled with when times were the best did not make it. She passed away due to smoke inhalation in a matter of minutes. This time is very devastating to my family since the fire was right below our apartment when it started, everything we had owned from important documents to clothes and necessary essentials have been gone. But would’ve traded it all to the fact that I could’ve heard her meow and lick of your hand when she wanted a treat or morning kisses on the mouth when her nose was the wettest for my Bubba. Any amount of donation or prayer helps in these rough times. Not only to my family and I but to everyone affected by the fire and the hardships that have occurred after them.
