Hi i’m Ella!
On the 25th April, I’ll be swimming a continuous 20-kilometre ultra-marathon in an outdoor pool to raise funds for Waveney Surf Lifesaving Club.
Waveney SLSC is a volunteer-run organisation that empowers people in the water, teaches lifesaving skills, trains lifeguards and athletes from age 7 up.
Since 2016 the club has been steadily growing. In the last year, it has taken on an old Inshore Rescue Boat, Mystie, with the goal of racing at the UK IRB Nationals in the coming years and providing water safety cover for events across the UK.
Every donation from my non-stop 20km swim will go directly towards:
• Boat maintenance and repairs
• Engine servicing and fuel costs
• Safety equipment
• Training costs
• General club equipment and maintenance
Waveney is a very special club. It is fuelled by incredibly supportive, talented and passionate people. I have always felt a strong sense of community and constant encouragement for my sporting goals over the years.
Run from a small shack in Lowestoft, it relies heavily on fundraisers to continue developing and training members.
This ultra-marathon is both my way of saying thank you and a personal challenge to see just how far I can push myself….!
If you’re able to donate, no matter how much, you’ll be directly supporting a volunteer club that changes lives and helps keep our coastline safe!
Thank you so much for your support! xx
