Ms. A is a Korean sex and labor trafficking survivor who was trafficked and exploited for decades in the United States. To protect her and their family’s identity and safety, we are choosing not to disclose any detailed information about her experiences. During the pandemic, she was detained by ICE after being convicted of crimes she never should have been convicted of in the first place. Since being released, she has been kicked out of their home *twice* by roommates who did not want to live with someone who had been detained by ICE. She has been struggling with PTSD and depression, and is in dire need of funds to pay for rent and therapy for at least one year.

As someone who has survived unspeakable trauma, we are raising funds for her to be able to rest, heal, and recuperate. Despite everything she has gone through, Ms. A holds so much strength and has been an inspiration to those of us who have had the privilege of meeting her. She manages to find humor and light in different corners of life. She is smart, determined, and loving. She spends her free time enjoying jazz music and going to temple. She is trying to heal and move onto a new chapter in her life - it is our deepest desire to allow her to reclaim her time and support her in doing so.
