Hi friends and family I am Bernadette Melendrez. Carmen is a good friend of mine. Carmens whole life changed about one year ago when she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. Since then she has been going to numerous appointments for chemo and procedures in Stanford all the while she continued to work and raise her two beautiful girls. On Monday May 11, 2020 Carmen had her stem cell transplant her "rebirth" we are so grateful to God for this and hopeful that she will have a speedy and full recovery. Carmen needs all the support at this time because she will have to stay in Stanford away from her girls for a month or longer which is not easy. Along with having to buy medications and pay for housing here for her girls and overthere in Stanford for herself, she has several medications, groceries and so many other things that can put a financial stress on her. Now more than ever she needs every ounce of strength she has to recover and rebuild new cells. Carmen does not need the added stress or worries because it will weaken her immune system. Carmen is a warrior she is one of the strongest people I have ever met. Please if you can donate anything it will be greatly appreciated and take a huge burden off her.
