Help Erin Arthur Beat Cancer!!

Donation protected
09/20/20 Update To everyone who has donated to Erin’s campaign, thank you!! Between the generous donations given on-line through GoFundMe as well as donations received independently we have reached our goal!! Erin and her family appreciate your gifts and prayers more than you can ever imagine! This money will continue to be used towards Erin’s fight against cancer. At this time we will be deactivating the campaign at the end of the month. Please continue to follow her journey on caringbridge.org (erinarthur2) where, most recently, she wrote about chemo treatment #11, having a new port placed and what her life is like during all this. I would like to thank each and every one of you for the love and support you have shown my sister and our family through this time. I will continue to post updates when Erin is not able to herself! Thank you!! Kelly Just wanted to update the information posted here to give everyone a progress report about Erin. Stage 4 pancreatic cancer is a miserable disease. It knocks you down over and over and you have to fight it with everything you’ve got! There have certainly been many ups and downs during Erin’s fight too! After the first week of chemo, she was feeling very poor. The doctors were able to tailor her nausea medications in order to give her some control and subsequent treatments have proved to be a little more bearable. While she is still very tired after them, especially the first week after, she has been able to eat better and have more energy. Before her chemo treatments started she had a port placed under her skin that fed into her vein. Unfortunately, last week, a clot formed, likely due to the port, and it had to be removed. She was placed on blood thinners, spent 5 days in the hospital and now has a PICC line in her arm. The PICC line will require more maintenance compared to the port but, at least there was an alternative! She will be on blood thinners for the rest of her life to help prevent additional clots from forming. She just finished chemo treatment #6 and will be getting her recheck scans on July 15th. Please pray for a good outcome!! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated to this GoFundMe campaign so far. Your generosity has been overwhelming for Erin and her family (but in a good way!). These donations really do help ease the burden of medical bills and help her focus more on healing and fighting this disease!! Please keep the prayers coming too. Feel free to share Erin’s story with your friends and family through Facebook, Twitter, texts, emails, etc! The more people we share with the sooner she can reach her goal!! We’re so close!! Thank you again, Kelly (Erin’s sister)

The time has come to ask for your help for the Arthurs in covering costs of Erin’s treatments. While Erin does have insurance, no insurance is good enough to cover all the costs associated with this type of treatment! We are so humbled and appreciative of everyone’s prayers and offering to help. Several people have asked about donating to the cause so we have set up this page for people to donate if they wish, there is absolutely no obligation!! While Erin continues to fight, the bills continue to come and we’re only at the beginning so, every donation helps! Please continue to read Erin’s caringbridge.org website for updates on her progress. Feel free to share the caring bridge and the GoFundMe information with anyone you feel would be interested in reading or donating!! Thank you for all you do!! Please know Erin and her family love each and everyone of you so much!! Your love and support has helped her more than you can ever know. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
