Sigma Chi Honoring Nancy Clark

Donation protected
Family, Friends, and the Brothers of Sigma Chi mourn the loss of our house Mother, Nancy.

Nancy Lou Cornwell Clark, 71 of Tampa, FL and formerly of Remington, IN died peacefully at the Melech Hospice house on Thursday, February 25 of complications related to polycystic kidney disease.

She was born on February 2, 1945 in Clinton, IN to Pauline and Carl Cornwell. She graduated from Scottland High School in 1963. As a young adult, she started her career as a beautician. She was a head cook at Tri-County High School and retired as a house mother at Sigma Chi Fraternity at Purdue University, where she worked 19 years. She loved each and every young man who joined the fraternity, and would speak fondly of her happy memories and fun times that she had in the house.
On June 7, 1965, she married Harold Paul Clark in St. Bernice, IN. He preceded her in death in Dec. 2014. They were parents of two sons, Troy of Columbia City, IN and Darrin (wife Karen) of Tampa, FL. She is survived by her children and four grandchildren, Hunter Clark of Los Angeles, CA, Hannah Clark, of Columbia City, IN, Katie and Megan Clark of Tampa, FL, her brother, Carl Cornwell of Ridgefarm, IL and numerous nieces and nephews.

Per Nancy’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to LifePath Hospice, 3010 W. Azeele Street, Tampa, FL 33609.

All donations to this page will go to the Delta Delta chapter of Sigma Chi for Derby Days and the Huntsman Cancer institute .  I will be withdrawing the funds into a separate bank account that will only be used for these donations.

Thank you for helping honor the life of a wonderful and loving person.  All honor to her name!
