I’m Kayla Wilde, a nurse and a proud participant in the TCS New York City Marathon. I’m fundraising because I believe where someone lives should never determine whether they have access to basic healthcare. In my work I have seen how prevention and treatment can change the course of a life, and I want to help bring those same opportunities to communities that have been overlooked for far too long.
Neglected tropical diseases affect nearly 1.5 billion people worldwide, many of them children. These illnesses cause blindness, immobility, malnutrition, and stunted growth, stealing futures for a preventable cost of about 50 cents per person. THE END Fund pools resources and works with local partners to deliver treatments, surgeries, and build capacity so people can live healthy, productive lives.
Running this marathon is both a personal milestone and a chance to make a real, measurable difference far beyond the finish line. Every contribution helps fund treatments and programs that restore health and opportunity. Your support means healthier communities, stronger futures, and fewer lives curtailed by diseases that we can end.
Please join me in supporting THE END Fund. Donate to help deliver life-changing care to people who need it most and be part of a movement to end neglected tropical diseases for good.
