UPDATE: I was forced to have to go back to work just to make money to make ends meet for me and my boys. The boys' dad are not helping in any way shape or form and I missed at least 4 days of work this week in and out of the emergency room from Kalispell to Whitefish from Whitefish to Kalispell over and over. My incisions are now herniated and I will need an additional surgery. My truck blew up two weeks ago and I had to buy a new car so we are very in a rock going to hard place situation.

My name is Kari, and I am reaching out during one of the most difficult times of my life. Just yesterday, I lost my twin babies due to an ectopic pregnancy. I was admitted to the hospital twice in one day, and ultimately, doctors had to remove my entire left fallopian tube to save my life. As someone with O negative blood—the rarest blood type—my recovery is even more complicated, and I am unable to return to work for the foreseeable future. I am a mother to two wonderful boys, ages 16 and 4, and I want to do everything I can to provide for them as we navigate this heartbreaking loss together.

This year has already been incredibly challenging. In February, I escaped a very abusive marriage and spent the summer struggling with homelessness and unemployment. I have worked hard to rebuild our lives, but just last week, my pickup broke down and I had to purchase a new car to keep us moving forward. Now, with the added burden of medical complications and being out of work during the holiday season, I am facing more uncertainty than ever before.

The funds raised here will go directly toward food, rent, medical bills, medicine, living expenses, and the physical therapy I need to recover and get back to work.
