5/4/2026 - The Fundraiser is CLOSED for 2026. Thank you for your support!
Since its inception, the scholarship has raised more than $52,000, benefiting students of Gloucester Catholic High School.
Last year alone, we raised $3,440, which was awarded as scholarships to two GCHS graduates, Nico Ludwick and Jack Chew. We respectfully ask you to consider supporting this year’s scholarship through GoFundMe.
Transparency is important to us, and we want donors to understand exactly how contributions are handled. All donations are made directly to Shaun McCann, who transfers the funds—along with a GoFundMe invoice—to the Gloucester County Ancient Order of Hibernians, a registered non-profit organization. The A.O.H. deposits the funds and issues scholarship checks to the students using a dual-signature process. These checks are then delivered to Gloucester Catholic High School, where the scholarships are formally awarded at the Baccalaureate Luncheon on Graduation Day.
The annual Damian Gallagher Memorial Scholarship was established in 2005 in memory of Damian Gallagher, a 1997 graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School. Damian passed away on October 1, 2001, at the age of 23. His friends created this scholarship to honor his life and keep his spirit alive as part of the Gloucester Catholic tradition.
A native of Donegal, Ireland, Damian immigrated to the United States at age 13. He was a standout athlete on the GCHS cross country and track teams and was known for his dedication, character, and kindness. At the time of his passing, Damian was a student at Rutgers University–Camden, pursuing a future career in education.
