My name is Jacob Garcia. I am an 8th grader at Martin Luther King Middle School. My passion is wrestling. I enjoy wrestling because it challenges me both physically and mentally, pushing me to improve my strength, technique, and discipline. The sport teaches me resilience, strategy, and perseverance, making every match a test of skill and determination. Whether on the mat or as a fan, I love the intensity, the competition, and the deep sense of respect that comes with it. Wrestling isn't just a sport to me-it’s a passion that fuels my drive to be better everyday. I am proud to have qualified for the TOC tournament in Loomis, CA, which will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2025. This all-day event requires me to leave on Friday morning to attend weigh-ins and return on Sunday. I’m seeking support to raise funds for my participation in this tournament, as well as future tournaments throughout the year.
