We are entering our second year as an independent VEX IQ robotics team competing in Honolulu, Hawaii. For the 2024-2025 season our team is compromised of fourth and fifth graders--Karl, Lily, Luke and Mythili-- along with the help and support of their parents.

Last year was a huge success when we participated at the Manoa School Robotics Competition. The Introverts placed fourth in team matches, and were presented with the judges' "Think Award" at the Awards Ceremony.

The "Think Award" is presented to a team that has developed and effectively used quality program as part of their strategy to solve the game challenge. Teams must participate in the Autonomous skills challenge to be eligible for the Think award.

Thanks to finishing with a strong score in the individual team skills category, our team was invited to participate in the 2024 Hawaii VEX IQ Elementary School Regional Championship on February 17. At the championships, we were presented with the "Think Award" again!

Because we are an independent team (not sponsored nor affiliated with a school), we are hoping to raise funds to help recover out-of-pocket costs incurred for this season (e.g. VEX robotics parts & materials as well as competition fees).

The VEX IQ Robotics Competition brings STEM skills to life by tasking teams of students with designing and building a robot to play with and against other teams in a game-based engineering challenge. STEM concepts are put to the test as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, project-based organization, and more.
