Rebuild from homeless to a protect boat

Hi, I’m Louise.

I’m 42 and currently homeless in England, living between my car, tent, and the odd dog-sitting job. Rising rents, work becoming less & hard to find and unstable landlords pushed me out of housing, and with no government council support, I’ve been left to survive on my own. Yes, it’s hitting the working class.

I’m fundraising for a small restoration project cabin boat — a safe, dry space I can live on, cook in, and lock at night. This is the most realistic way I can rebuild stability and independence.

Funds will go toward buying the boat itself, safety certificate, insurance, mooring fees, and essentials like a 12v diesel heater, water pump & hot water tap, insulation for the whole boat so it doesn't freeze inside, and fittings to keep it safe through winter.
