On 2nd November 2025, J. Lopes will run the TCS New York City Marathon — the 54th edition of one of the most iconic races in the world and part of the prestigious World Marathon Majors.

‍♂️ About J. Lopes

J. Lopes is a passionate long-distance runner who runs not for competition, but for purpose and joy.

With 21 official marathons completed across the world — including London, Berlin, Boston, Sydney, and the European Marathon Championship — running has become part of his life’s rhythm.

His personal best is an impressive 2:44:15 in Chicago 2022, where he finished first in his age category. He has run 4 marathons under 2:50 and 14 under 3 hours.

This year, he's taking on the New York City Marathon not for a medal — but to raise funds for Semeadores de Maratane, supporting children and families in Africa and Brazil with food, and access to clean water.
