Hi!
My name is Joel, and I want to thank you for taking the time to read about my upcoming fundraiser and mission trip.
I'm excited to share that this November, I’ll be traveling back to Namibia with Fleetwood International Church (FIC) on a short-term mission trip. The purpose of this trip is to encourage and support our ministry partners in remote villages, share the love of Jesus with unreached people groups, and help strengthen and equip the local church in a deeper and more sustainable way than ever before.
How This Year Will Be Different
Two years ago, I had the privilege of being part of a small team of seven who went to northern Namibia and partnered with the Church of Opuwo. That trip was a powerful introduction to the mission field—we helped with Sunday services, visited schools, built relationships, and traveled to remote villages to share the gospel and deliver supplies.
But this year’s mission is not just a repeat—it’s an expansion.
- We're returning with a larger team, which means a wider reach and greater capacity to serve in more locations and run multiple programs at once.
- We plan to reach more unreached villages, go deeper in community engagement, and follow up with the people and ministries we connected with last time.
- We're not only bringing supplies, we'll be equipping the local church leaders with tools and encouragement to carry on the work long after we leave.
- This year, we’re placing an even stronger focus on relationship-building and discipleship, rather than just one-time visits.
We believe that by increasing our team size and refining our focus, this trip will have a broader and more lasting impact—not only on the people we meet but also on the ministry as a whole.
The Vision
Our heart is to be in true community with the people of Namibia: to share life, listen to their stories, and point them to the hope of Christ. We want to celebrate with them, worship with them, and walk alongside them—even if just for a short time—trusting that God will use every moment for His glory.
How You Can Help
The cost of the trip is $3,500 per person, and I would be so grateful if you would prayerfully consider supporting me—whether financially or through prayer.
