OUR CAMPAIGN
Our mission is to honor and remember Command Sergeant Major Gary F. Sirois — and, in doing so, uplift the legacy of the many other Veterans who have perished due to the invisible wounds of war.

Please join us in this year's fundraiser to support The Drive On Foundation, a Connecticut-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that is helping to shape a future in which our nation’s veterans are respected and appropriately cared for – including supporting the fight against veteran suicide. All proceeds will go directly to The Drive On Foundation in memory of CSM Gary F. Sirois.

In addition to donating here, all are invited to join us on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the American Legion in Terryville, CT for a memorial motorcycle ride and cook-out. Kickstands go up at 11 a.m. For more information, please follow our Facebook page.

OUR STORY
Only one percent of U.S. Army Soldiers ever reach the rank of Sergeant Major or Command Sergeant Major. Gary F. Sirois was one of them.

Born on August 4, 1968 he grew up in Plainville, Connecticut, where he spent his time playing Little League, rooting for the Boston Red Sox, listening to Led Zeppelin, and studying muscle cars. When he was just 17, he enlisted in the United States Army, and upon graduating high school, he left home to complete Basic Training in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Shortly thereafter, he found his true calling as a Drill Sergeant.

By 2005, he had risen in the military ranks and was serving as a Command Sergeant Major in the Army Reserve. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, he deployed to Camp Victory, Kuwait for 18 months with the 395th Quartermaster Battalion. There he led more than 14,000 Soldiers and eventually earned a Bronze Star Medal for his service.

Upon returning home, he formally retired from the United States Army following more than 20 years of dedicated service.

CSM Sirois entered eternal rest in Heaven on March 1, 2023. He is always remembered for his sparkling smile, sharp wit, sense of humility, devotion to his family, and commitment to keeping everything “dress right dress.” He left his family and friends with many cherished memories and a legacy of love.
