Every fall since 1997, Chico State Cross Country runners have made the journey to cheer on their teammates at the NCAA National Championships. It’s a tradition that connects generations of Chico runners and reminds us what makes this team so special. This year, both our men’s and women’s teams have qualified for Nationals in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and we’re hoping to continue that tradition by making the trip to support them in person. It’s about a 30 hour drive from Chico, and the money we raise will help cover gas, rental cars, and a place to stay. We’ll be leaving Chico on November 20th, arriving in Kenosha on the 21st, cheering at the race on the 22nd, and driving back home on the 23rd. Those of us making the trip are paying most of the costs out of pocket, so any donation, no matter the size, would mean so much to us. Your support helps us carry on a long-standing Chico State tradition and be there for our teammates as they compete on the national stage.
