Prisoner of Hope Ministries, Inc. is an evangelistic ministry whose mission is to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the incarcerated and recovery communities.
This is achieved by providing spiritual support, Bible teaching, one-on-one discipleship and encouragement through in-person visits, letters, phone calls and video visits.
Every year they see hundreds of inmates come to Christ. This year the Lord has put it on their hearts to make sure they baptize those new believers and they’ve arranged beforehand at several prisons to offer baptism classes and to baptize those new believers. Jesus Christ said, “He who believes and is BAPTIZED will be saved..” Mark 16:16.
Last year they baptized their first group of men in the Dalhart Unit, in Dalhart, Texas. We’re excited to offer that to the prisons in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and Kentucky.
Last year they also had their first communion service on a death ward unit! Praise God!
Another way they’re seeking to expand our ministry is through two apps that are available to inmates on their tablets, which will give them access to Mike’s memoir, “How’s It Feel, Tough Guy: From Prisoner of Pride to Prisoner of Hope", the prison documentary they recently co-produced called “Redeemed Forever Free” and any other video or literature that would benefit them spiritually. By purchasing space on these apps, their message can now be made available to over TWO MILLION inmates!! However, space on these apps aren't cheap but it will allow us to post Mike’s memoir and 4 videos every month.
Mike and Heidi have donated over 10,000 copies of Mike’s memoir to inmates across the country. They have received countless letters and emails from inmates saying how his story has changed their lives! With these apps, we can reach exponentially more!
We are also looking at finalizing our SPANISH version of Mike’s memoir, which is in great demand, especially in the mid-west states!
Will you partner with them on this year's crusade as they plan on visiting prisons in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and Kentucky? Their desire is to encourage these men and women all over the country, whose lives don’t have to be defined by their bad choices, but rather by who they can become through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ. By God’s Grace, He can use their life for His Glory, just like He’s used Mike!
