2024 FoodBlessed's Southern Lebanon Emergency Relief Plan
Donation protected
FoodBlessed is leading a campaign to support internally displaced families from Southern Lebanon
Maya Terro, FoodBlesed Co-founder and Executive Director shared with me the following request for an emergency relief support.
"In recent days, multiple towns and areas across Lebanon were hit with intense rounds of airstrikes. On Sept 23, 2024, alone, air strikes killed over 500 people, injured thousands, caused significant damage, and forced a new wave of civilians to flee, adding to the 100,000+ civilians who were already displaced from Southern Lebanon. The newly displaced are seeking refuge in shelters/schools or with their relatives who had previously fled from their homes. Most of whom were already struggling to make ends meet.
In this difficult context, we need your URGENT support to provide much needed life-saving assistance to the vulnerable displaced families. Your donation will provide these families with immediate relief including food, water, hygiene, in addition to blankets and mattresses to sleep on in anticipation of the colder approaching months. As we enter the fall season, many families may likely remain displaced for months.
Every donation makes a difference.
Thank you for supporting! Please consider sharing this campaign too."
