Teacher & Staff and Student Direct Support
- Teacher Mini-Grants - provided to each Teacher to use for classroom support ($11,600)
- Field Trips for all grade levels ($2,150)
- MATH CO-OP - Provides in-school weekly extra help with math skills ($18,250)
- LITERACY CO-OP - Provides in-school weekly extra help with reading skills ($2,500)
- Conferences and Professional Development, including Capturing Kids Hearts - ($37,500)
- Classroom supplies, book, materials and educational resources for teachers
Arts in Education - $10,000
- Zach Theater - Theater program visits
- Zach Theater Workshops - (K-5)
- Austin Symphony Young People's Concerts (4th & 5th)
- Mad Science Workshops (K-5th)
- Nutcracker (3rd grade)
- Creative Action - Mr. Freddy’s World – Music, Puppetry & Dance (Pre K)
- Kenny & The Dragon wall hand art mural
Library Support - $9,000 this year, $11,000 last year
In Spring 2022, the PTA provided over $10,000 to refresh all classroom libraries with new books.

- Additional Classroom library support for new teachers this year.
Spanish and Diversity Programs - $4,000
- Z-Fiesta
- Holiday Lights around the World
- Spanish Books for dual language classrooms
Special Areas Support - $5,000
- 5th grade Musical- show kits, costumes, stage supplies
- New PA sounds system
- Art room supplies
- P.E. equipment
Teacher and Staff Appreciation - $10,500
- Staff meeting meals and refreshments
- Welcome back Breakfast
- November Thanksgiving Meal
- Staff December Holiday party and team building
- Holiday Gift Cards
- Science Fair volunteer meals
- Teacher Appreciation Week
Garden and Grounds - $28,000
- Lead Garden Specialist / PEAS - weekly classroom lessons ($19,200 per year)
- Maintenance of grounds and Jabo’s Garden
- Stipend for Jabo
- Care & maintenance of garden
- Mulch, Plants
- Support for 5th Grade Farm Stands
- Garden fence
Counselor Needs - $4,000
- Book fair books for economically disadvantaged kids
- Scholarships to extracurricular activities for economically disadvantaged kids
- School supply kits for economically disadvantaged kids
Campus Needs - $12,500
- New picnic tables for student lunches / outside activities ($6,000)
- Class Creator Software for school Administration
- EGSI Testing Software for school Administration
- Additional needs identified throughout the year
We want our school to be the premier public school and a flagship for the neighborhood and city. Zilker is a GREAT place for kids!
